We use your UCPath Employee ID to verify your employment and collect membership dues. BFA monthly dues are $10 for Assistant Professors, $15 For Associate Professors, and $30 for Full Professors. Dues fund FA activities, contribute to the salaries of staff members system-wide, and cover communication costs. No faculty members are paid for FA service.

AAUP Membership

Add an AAUP Membership (optional)

The BFA is a partner organization of the American Association of University Professors. AAUP dues fund the national organization and give you membership rights and benefits. These include voting rights in national AAUP elections, a subscription to the Academe journal, and all AFT Member Benefits. The AAUP monthly rate charged in addition to BFA dues is $13.83 for Assistant Professors, $22.12 for Associate Professors, and $24.82 for Full Professors.

By clicking the “Join BFA” button and submitting this form, I declare myself a member of the UC Berkeley Faculty Association. I authorize the UC to deduct dues in a manner and amount consistent with the Faculty Association’s Constitution and By-laws. If I have added the option of joining the AAUP, I authorize UC to deduct dues at the AAUP rate each month for the amount indicated. I understand that the dues amount may change if authorized pursuant to the BFA Constitution and By-laws or the AAUP’s constitution. If this happens, I authorize UC to adjust my payment when notified by the Berkeley Faculty Association. I agree this authorization remains in effect until terminated in writing by me.
